BasisTech, located in Somerville, MA, is a state-of-the-art, full-amenity tech startup accelerator supporting over 30 companies in enterprise data, machine vision, and public sector AI. The 15,000-square-foot interior features acoustically optimized open workstations, a striking 20-foot living biophilic wall in the versatile Media Studio, and amenities designed to foster collaboration and creativity. The space also incorporates a repurposed 348-module photovoltaic solar array, divided between grid-tied supplemental power and an off-grid resilience hub with battery storage, powering critical infrastructure including EV charging and fabrication labs.

In my role as construction manager working in a design-build capacity, I coordinated the complex integration of architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems to deliver this luxurious and technologically advanced environment, valued at $420 per square foot. My hands-on involvement focused on ensuring the stability and performance of cutting-edge finishes and sustainable features, helping to create a resilient, flexible accelerator that supports innovation while embracing environmental responsibility.
